摘要: Leafless Duvalia velutina Lavranos (Apocynaceae) is an arido-active stem succulent common in the arid region southwest of Arabian Peninsula. This characterized by a short wet season with erratic rainfall and long dry high temperature irradiance. We investigated survival strategy D. studying nurse association, gas exchange, chlorophyll fluorescence. Results showed that exhibited strict association shade for protection against heat also obligate CAM plant ample physiotypic plasticity involving shift to CAM-idling under prolonged drought.
