摘要: Segmentation of a 3-dimensional (3D) polygonal mesh is method breaking the down into \meaningful" connected subsets vertices called regions. The used here based on watershed segmentation scheme which appears prominently in image literature and was later applied to 3D problem. algorithm scalar value (curvature) assigned every vertex purports capture some essence local shape. Accuracy curvature estimate at critical quality resulting segmentation. basis this paper one such scheme, described [17], wherein two discrete estimation schemes were used, i.e. extracted directly from geometry. This considerably improves original primarily by applying more accurate robust techniques. results are illustrated data sets inherently noisy, as ones obtained laser digitizers.
