摘要: Secondary trigeminal neuralgia (STN) follows an injury to the nerve or one of its branches. Although rare, this condition results in great suffering and it is notoriously difficult treat. The experimental analysis painful neuropathy due damage innervation limbs (e.g., sciatic nerve) has progressed rapidly recent years, but very few reports have appeared concerning trigemenial region. We report here rat model neuropathic pain produced by a chronic constriction infraorbital (CCI-ION), on method that detects heat-evoked pain-related behavior. Rats with CCI-ION clear signs heat-hyperalgesia when stimulated snout (the vibrissal pad). hyperalgesia seen both ipsi- contralateral side injury, significantly more severe ipsilaterally, lasts about 12 days.
