摘要: This paper examines the effect of drug-related homicide rates on mental well-being among adults in Mexico, amid a conflict known as “Mexican Drug War,” during period 2006–2012. The empirical strategy consists, one hand, multilevel analysis for outcomes at individual level and, other difference-in-difference approach aggregate variables municipality level. Results suggest no violence clinical and non-clinical men women. Yet, findings indicate statistically significant between 3.5 4.9 percentage points women Mexico. These results are robust to variety specifications, falsification tests data sources rates.
