摘要: Abstract Is the modified aneroid sphygmomanometer a valid instrument to measure isometric quadriceps strength? Three techniques were compared: cuff method, in which original and bladder folded then secured by rubber bands; bag was sewn bag; standard employing weights. Using design control for method order of measurement, five physiotherapists measured muscle strength rheumatoid patients. The features explained 97% variation amongst measurements. Order observation observers had no effect on Patients quite different methods measurement different. obtained higher readings than weights, cuff. Compared were: equally sensitive reproducible, performed 1 6 th time, independent gravity potentially adaptable 24 groups.
