摘要: Abstract Data are presented on the genetic basis for plumage color of Birchen and Blue varieties Leonesa, a breed Spanish chicken whose feathers traditionally used by fishermen construction artificial flies. Results crosses between Leonesa males Castellana (E/E Ml/Ml) females suggested that former carries birchen allele (ER) at E locus. This is modified melanotic gene (Ml), resulting in self black pattern. fact was further verified cross Melanotic Prat (eWh/eWhCo/Co females. The degree expression ER not Columbian mutation (Co), although it this produces nonblack lacing upper breast some birds. data verify existence separate alleles extended (E) clarify interaction restriction loci. Crosses Brown (eb/eb) tester showed variety ER/ER heterozygous blue (Bl) mutation. absence resulted light adult chick down. It Ml loci different sides peacomb (P) because they segregate independently. Chick down suggest eumelanized normally white ventral chicks. silver-faced silver phenotypes indicated eWh/ewhMl/Ml Co/Co genotype suitable background sexing involving gold alleles.
