SWAXS analysis on some quasicrystalline alloys: Nanoclusters and nanoaggregates

摘要: Abstract Mesoscopic structure of two decagonal quasicrystalline samples, Al–Co–Ni and Al–Co–Cu, is investigated by XRD SEM. Simultaneous SAXS WAXS (SWAXS) measurements give information on the shape, size, pair-distance distributions nanometer-size aggregates contained in analyzed volume. Decagonal single quasicrystal structures, approximants, domain structures are found to coexist samples.
