摘要: Introduction: African-American women are among those with the highest rates of obesity andhypertension, while also having low physical activity (PA). While weight loss and PAhave been implicated as lifestyle factors that can reduce blood pressure, influence theselifestyle on pressure in is not well studied, theexisting research has shown inconsistent findings.Purpose: To examine relationship between change measures adiposity restingsystolic (SBP) diastolic (DBP) overweight obese non-hypertensiveAfrican-America women. In addition, this investigation will changes inPA and/or fitness thechange resting SBP DBP.Methods: Data from 97 (31.4±4.0 kg/m2), non-hypertensive who participated one 5 control interventions were analyzed forthis study. The behavioral included dietary restriction PA.Outcome weight, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, bodycomposition, PA, fitness. hypotheses tested using linear regression analysis. Themediation hypothesis was analysis separately adjusting forfitness PA.Results: There a significant reduction (5.0±5.9) systolic (4.4±10.9 mmHg), anddiastolic (2.8±7.7 mmHg). significantly correlated withchange BMI, fitness, DBP significantlycorrelated PA betweenmeasures both BMI fully mediated by eitherPA or circumference SBPpartially either relationships andmeasures fitness. Conclusion: These findings highlight potential importance within thecontext for reducing
