摘要: A review of published data on the in vitro, ex vivo, vivo and clinical effects fluoroquinolones synthesis cytokines is provided. Fluoroquinolones (FQs) were found to affect both cellular humoral immunity. In general, FQs exert their modulating only when used together with a co-stimulant. The vitro studies generated heterogeneous because inhomogeneous triggered by different types co-stimulants differing responses various cell lines stimuli. However, there general trend that decrease pro-inflammatory cytokines. Studies experimental animals homogenous data. All studied exerted significant attenuating cytokine vivo. be effective either infections caused organisms against which these are inactive or dosed suboptimally, so serum levels lower than susceptibilities causative pathogens. These correlated like Il-1 TNF. addition, upregulate hematopoiesis. immunomodulatory can attributed particular those cyclopropyl-moiety at position N1 quinolone core structure, i. e. ciprofloxacin, moxifloxacin, grepafloxacin, sparfloxacin. due intracellular cyclic AMP phosphodiesterases, transcription factors such as NF-kappa B, activator protein 1 triggering effect eucaryotic equivalent bacterial SOS response. indicate activities latent chronic infections.
