摘要: The Jewish population has an increased frequency of inflammatory bowel disease compared with their non-Jewish neighbours. Genetic factors have been implicated in the aetiology this disorder and may contribute to ethnic differences. This study determined familial empirical risks for first degree relatives probands (for both Jews non-Jews) purpose accurate genetic counselling analysis. A total 527 patients from Southern California (291 236 were questioned about (a 2493 individuals). Since a variable late age onset, specific incidence data used estimate life time make valid comparisons between different groups. In probands, 5.2% 1.6% when had Crohn's ulcerative colitis respectively. These values consistently lower than corresponding -7.8% 4.5% respectively (p value comparison non-Jews: 0.028; disease: 0.005). provide requisite basis these disorders white American population. addition, allow rejection single Mendelian gene models disease, but are consistent several alternative models.
