摘要: Abstract Poly(methylmethacrylate) (PMMA) is the current standard for cement held prostheses. It forms a strong bond with implant, but between and bone considered to be weak, fibroblastic cells observed at implant site, rather than direct contact, contributing factor leading failure. Incorporation of hydroxyapatite (HA) increases biological response from tissue around thus giving increased apposition. In this study, PMMA discs 0, 4.6 8.8 vol% HA were examined. Primary human osteoblast-like (HOBs) used evaluation cements in vitro. Morphology was using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) confocal laser (CLSM). Measurement tritiated thymidine ( 3 H-TdR) incorporation alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity assess proliferation differentiation. A synergy increasing focal contact formation, cytoskeletal organisation, cell expression phenotype volume. Preferential anchorage HOBs prominent observation.
