摘要: 3-Deazaadenosine (dzAdo), an analog of adenosine, is a potent proximal inhibitor S-adenosylmethionine-dependent transmethylation reactions (1–3). A variety have been shown to be inhibited by dzAdo because its ability act as alternative substrate and also S-adenosylhomocysteine hydrolase, which hydrolyzes adenosine L-homocysteine. unique feature hydrolase that it can synthesize novel S-nucleosidylhomocysteine condensing nucleoside with L-homocysteine the equilibrium reaction favors synthetic direction (1–5). When administered cells or animals, net result accumulation S-3-deazaadenosylhomocysteine, both are known inhibitors (6–11).
