摘要: Delay Tolerant Networking (DTN) architecture is a new communication developed to provide network connectivity in challenging environments. It forms store-and-forward overlay that employs persistent storage deal with link disconnections. Consistent its requirements, the design of transport function DTN was primarily based on hop-by-hop operations preference traditional end-to-end model. As result, pure functionality absent from current and thus has been shifted towards applications. In this study, we highlight benefits having an additional layer application-independent protocol offering transparent application data conditioning services introduce Payload Conditioning (DTPC) protocol, novel realizes layer. DTPC expandable, connectionless, reliable, sequenced which extends fashion accords principle, enabling following services: (a) aggregation, (b) application-level reliability, (c) in-order delivery, (d) duplicate suppression. integrated into JPL's Interplanetary Overlay Network (ION) reference implementation, evaluated/validated through real-time experiments testbed.
