摘要: Meander migration and vertical degradation of river bed are processes that have been studied for years. Different methods proposed to make predictions the behavior rivers with respect these processes. These two erosion controlled consist gradual change geometry due flow water eroding soil. This may cause a shift could be threat existing bridges, highways useful lands. Therefore, there is need method can accurately predict amount occur in rivers. Six different sites Texas were selected this project. Four meander problems problems. Each has shown roads or farm Aerial photos maps from years obtained sources study River hydrographs U.S. Geological Survey estimate velocity. Soil samples each site laboratory testing, using Erosion Function Apparatus. A was developed by three main factors: geometry, soil erodibility. code written MATLAB Excel future movement model based on function tests at average daily velocity river. Because observed data, it called Observation Method.
