摘要: Abstract The goals of the present review paper are; (i) to introduce experimental facilities and numerical tools applied investigating inhomogeneously premixed flames, (ii) summarize recent progress in revealing understanding local phenomena (e.g. back-supported combustion or generation flame surface area) that stem from influence mixture inhomogeneities on propagation through flammable reactants, (iii) show state-of-the-art unsteady multidimensional RANS LES research into turbulent flames discuss models invoked for this purpose, (iv) highlight issues still challenge researchers who develop such models.
