摘要: Abstract Silicon sensors have been used in High Energy Physics for about 25 years. They continuously improved to meet new requirements and challenges. Based on a simple detection principle many different types of silicon developed. This article gives an introduction the basic properties related readout electronics. Then several sensor are described, which building blocks detectors tracking scintillator readout. Besides reviewing state art some developments will be discussed. includes extremely radiation hard sensors, novel photon counting especially trends integrate electronics into monolithic devices. Finally selected examples large detector systems existing or planned experiments reviewed.
