Performance Analysis of the Multiplexer for Shaped Video Traffic Sources

摘要: This paper considers the problem of performance analysis for multiplexer, when homogeneous periodic on-off sources are statistically multiplexed. Periodic source model is defined that on-period and off-period repeated by once in a deterministic time on-period, cell arrives with interval. In order to reflect periodicity model, we consider two multiplexing situation, such as random synchronized multiplexing. both case, obtain overload-period distribution an approximate method using overload period suggested obtaining CLP(Cell Loss Probability) buffer multiplexer. A numerical example MPEG-I real traffic samples results also presented.Keywords: shaper, sources, video
