摘要: This paper reports a study which examined whether the diel activity pattern of lapwings varies cyclically in relation to moonphase during non-breeding season (July February). The main aim was test model proposed by Spencer (1953) that Lapwings feed day and roost at night most lunar month, except for few days around full moon, when is reversed. A rhythm type detected winter but not summer, while evidence its existence autumn equivocal. In winter, interrupted low temperature, dense cloud or heavy rain night, suggests behaviour opportunist endogenous. nature adaptive significance link between daily cycle are discussed.
