摘要: Present process relates to an improved and commercial for the preparation of lapatinib formula-I or its pharmaceutically acceptable p-toluenesulfonate salt involving novel intermediates formulae-XVII, XVIII, XIX. utilizes Meerwein reaction as a key step in aryl C-C bond formation avoiding costly boronate coupling chemistry used conventional synthesis lapatinib.
