摘要: Ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) is widely used to detect and identify chemical warfare agents, narcotics, explosives in the field based on their reduced (K 0 ) values. Current detection windows for these analytes can only be as narrow ±2% of K values analyte being sought. These wide cause false positive alarms when an interferent with a similar falls within window triggers alarm. This results loss time money resources are diverted verify A high rate caused by discrepancy reported across literature that is, at best, ± 2% average available By accurately precisely measuring variables affecting ion’s value, accurate value produced widths established using reference reduced. Components analyses have been assembled past here construction ion drift tube described 0.1% calculated hermetically sealed without inserting into large vacuum chamber. Having pressure spectrometer will allow control variable equation safe analysis hazardous chemicals. Here inexpensive easily reparable described.
