Feeding back surveillance data to prevent hospital-acquired infections.

摘要: We describe the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Nosocomial Infections Surveillance system. Elements of system critical successful reduction nosocomial infection rates include voluntary participation confidentiality; standard definitions protocols; identification populations at high risk; site-specific, risk- adjusted comparable across institutions; adequate numbers trained control professionals; dissemination data to health-care providers; a link between monitored prevention efforts.
