摘要: Summary Background One hundred sixty-eight peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCLs) were reviewed according to the Revised European-American Lymphoma (R.E.A.L.) Classification. Patients and methods The cases, originally diagnosed on basis of Updated Kiel Classification (UKC), all provided with histological preparations, immunophenotype, clinical information, follow-up data. slides reclassified by five observers, who integrated R.E.A.L criteria cell size measurements. prognostic value pathologic findings was assessed univariate multivariate analysis. Results R.E.A.L. reproducibly applied observers. Clinically, anaplastic large (ALCLs) differed from remaining PTCLs mean age (29.5 vs. 52.9 years), bulky disease (52.3% 11.3%; P = 0.000), mediastinal mass (52.7% 32%; 0.004), disease-free survival (68.0% 38.2%; 0.0001). Although each type displayed specific aspects, other than ALCL basically characterised a poor outcome which not influenced UKC malignancy grade. At analysis, risk lower complete remission rate related (P =0.001), histologic group (non-ALCL) 0.01), advanced stage (III–IV) – 0.0002). Conclusions present study supports classification proposed scheme.
