摘要: There are some contradictions in the literature on structure of micelles formed by BRIJ-35 surfactant water. One can find reasonable differences aggregation numbers and micellar sizes, but there is a lack data intermicellar structure. In this study, we reevaluated small-angle neutron scattering experiments performed previously concentration range 5-200 g/dm3 at 20, 40, 60 degrees C. The were analyzed with reverse Monte Carlo-type method developed recently for colloids. modeled as spherical cores representing hydrophobic parts number balls put to mimic hydrated hydrophilic chains. simulations provided mean extent hydration shell micelles. We obtained pair-correlation functions indicating different micelle-micelle interactions from usually assumed hard-sphere ones.
