摘要: ABSTRACTIntroduction: Significant progress has been made in the field of corneal transplantation over last 15 years, and a progressively more targeted approach to surgical treatment various conditions is being adopted. These newer techniques promise less complications improved outcomes.Areas covered: In this review, authors summarize large randomized clinical trials observational studies that have performed evaluate these procedures identify factors predicting best outcomes.Expert commentary: Continued follow-up reporting long-term data from prospective multi-center studies, as well new evaluating comparing techniques, will be invaluable optimizing outcomes procedures.
