摘要: We present the detection of sodium absorption in atmosphere extrasolar planet WASP-17b, an inflated ‘hot Jupiter’ a tight orbit around F6 dwarf. In-transit observations WASP-17 made with Magellan Inamori Kyocera Echelle (MIKE) spectrograph on 6.5-m Telescope were analysed for excess planetary atmospheric Na i ‘D’ doublet spectral region. Using interstellar lines as reference, we detect 0.58 ± 0.13 per cent transit signal, 4.5σ confidence, at 1.5 A bandwidth stellar feature. This result is consistent previous Very Large confirming that has highly atmosphere.
