摘要: Abstract Heavy metal oxide borate (HMOB) glasses were studied for gamma, fast neutron and charged particle interaction using mass attenuation coefficients (MAC), effective atomic numbers ( Z e f ), buildup factors, removal cross sections ranges. The experimental values of MACs verified by MCNP simulation at 662 keV. Also, HMOB compared to concretes lead glass. glass systems found have better shielding properties than ordinary hematite-serpentine concretes. Fly ash showed superior in specific energy regions. bismuth was the steel-magnetite concrete different regions entire region. while fly has almost same with loss radiation damage that more replacement collisions, thus would occur It can be concluded free potential use as alternative materials not only gamma neutrons but also heavy ions.
