Effect of magnetic field in the ATON-type hall thruster buffer chamber on discharge current characteristics

摘要: Discriminated from the ionization in discharge channel of ATON-type hall thruster, buffer chamber, called ldquopre-ionizationrdquo, has an impact on current characteristics. To improve pre-ionization ratio by optimizing magnetic field main characteristics are proposed this article; and then a new circuit is designed for realizing optimized while hold optimum topography. In addition, configuration can reduce energy loss ldquofast electronsrdquo coming channel. The corresponding experimental results obtained indicate that improved field.
