摘要: We report the discovery of EPIC201702477b, a transiting brown dwarf in long period (40.73691 +/- 0.00037 day) and eccentric (e=0.2281 0.0026) orbit. This system was initially reported as planetary candidate based on two transit events seen K2 Campaign 1 photometry later validated an exoplanet. confirm refine ephemeris with subsequent ground-based detections using LCOGT 1m telescope network. rule out any timing variations above level 30s. Using high precision radial velocity measurements from HARPS SOPHIE we identify companion mass, radius, bulk density 66.9 1.7 M$_J$, 0.757 0.065 R$_J$, 191+/-51 this http URL$^{-3}$ respectively. EPIC201702477b is smallest radius yet discovered, mass just below H-burning limit. It has highest planet, substellar object or main-sequence star discovered so far. find evidence set known dwarfs for populations objects - low dwarfs. The higher-mass population have radii very close agreement to theoretical models, show lower-mass limit around 60 M$_J$. may be signature mass-dependent ejection systems during formation process.
