摘要: Identification of cis-regulatory elements, such as enhancers and promoters, is very important not only for analysis gene regulatory networks but also a tool targeted expression experiments. In this chapter, we introduce an easy reliable approach to predict interest by comparing mammalian Xenopus genome sequences, examine their activity using co-transgenesis technique in embryos. Since the bioinformatics utilizes publically available web-tools, bench biologists can easily perform it without any need special computing capability. The assay, which directly uses polymerase chain reaction (PCR) products, quickly screens candidate elements cloning-free manner.
