摘要: Aims:  For Ophiostoma (Ceratocystis) ulmi, the ability to undergo morphological change is a crucial factor for its virulence. To gain an understanding of quorum-sensing activity in O. ulmi as it relates yeast-mycelium dimorphism control, this study examines effects branched-chain amino acids well their fusel alcohols and quorum sensing molecules. Methods Results:  In defined medium containing glucose, proline salts, grew yeasts when culture was inoculated with high density spores (2 × 107 CFU ml−1) mycelia low spore (4 × 105 CFU ml−1). The cultures displaying yeast morphology secreted that shifted from yeast. This molecule lipophilic extractable by organic solvents spent medium. Using GC/MS analysis, determined major compound extract 2-methyl-1-butanol. A similar effect observed (fusel alcohol precursors) were used nitrogen source. E, E-farnesol had no on O. ulmi. Conclusions:  Addition or one compounds detected medium, 2-methyl-1-butanol 4-hydroxyphenylacetic acid, methylvaleric decreased germ tube formation more than 50%, thus demonstrating behaviour cultures. Significance impact study:  presents advances investigation O. ulmi, complementing existing scientific basis, studying, controlling phenomenon.
