摘要: SYNOPSIS. Algal symbiotes isolated from marine invertebrate hosts, and grown axenically in culture, have been successfully combined artificial associations with chick fibroblasts grunt (Haemulon sp.) fin explants. Growth (measured by cell numbers chlorophyll a) is stimulated both host cells. Studies of nitrogen uptake exchange suggest that these are similar to other, natural symbioses involving e.g. the hermatypic corals.
