摘要: A comparative study was performed to evaluate differences in milk yield between an automatic milking system (AMS) and a conventional herringbone parlor system. Two herds of Italian-Friesian cows were reared the same barn, located Po Valley northern Italy. Twenty-five primiparous 10 multiparous milked with AMS, while at time 29 9 twice daily on other side barn. selection gate allowed access AMS only if interval from last >5 h. Multiparous yielded more than (34.2 +/- 0.7 vs. 29.4 0.6 kg/d). There no difference (28.9 0.4 28.8 0.3 Milking frequency significantly higher (2.8 0.03) (2.5 0.04). The hot season negatively affected yield; reduction for (-4.5 kg/d) (-3.0 0.8 In decreased during (-0.3 0.1). We concluded that positive effect is possible, but steps must be taken alleviate discomfort involved attracting AMS.
