摘要: Determination of the prostatic acid phosphatase is, theoretically, a specific test for carcinoma prostate, but present laboratory techniques have produced too many false positives and negatives to be dependable. There may inhibitors or enzymes that interfere with these tests. Until more exact are discovered, phosphatases should not depended upon as criterion type surgical operation in nor, without biopsy, they taken an indication malignant disease.
