摘要: Abstract Objective: To evaluate in prostate needle biopsies the usefulness and efficacy of not time-consuming morphologic parameters order to predict whether cancer is organ-confined or it not, that could contribute additional information pre-surgical serum PSA Gleason score, both them already accepted as clinically significant. Methods: Three hundred two consecutive patients were evaluated, whom a diagnostic biopsy radical prostatectomy specimen with no hormone therapy available. Bilateral unilateral extension, number positive cores, percentage intraprostatic perineural invasion (IPNI) presence high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (HGPIN) any cores evaluated biopsy. Results: The median 6. IPNI, bilateral tumour, higher than 37.5% (ROC curve), show significant crude OR (4.0, 2.8, 6.9 respectively). regression model discloses only shows (5.8) adjusting for bilaterality, HGPIN age. Conclusions: involvement are another predictive extraprostatic extension. ( p
