摘要: Summary Introduction Varicella, also known as chickenpox is one of the most common immunizable diseases. In 1998, World Health Organization (WHO) recommended to incorporate this vaccine in national immunization programs, which Argentina did 2015. Objectives To describe behavior varicella time series for 2005–2017 period, and evaluate impact Argentina. Methodology An ecological observational study was performed, using cases reported National Monitoring System, data census secondary sources. A model based analysis notified a Negative Binomial Mixed Model. For verification impact, 2005–2014 period selected, prognosis following years performed. Impact evaluated by comparing rates confidence intervals between predicted observed values. Results 1,775,587 period. The exhibited seasonality, and, decreasing trend number 2016 2017. reduction incidence rate after implementation observed. transmission risk decreased country implementation. Conclusions This first concrete evidence decline single dose application program
