摘要: Background. There has been considerable controversy regarding whether a recent observed rise in brain tumor incidence is real and so suggestive of increasing exposure to environmental carcinogens, or it largely explainable by changes diagnostic technology, particularly the introduction computerized axial tomography (CT) scans 1970s. We analysed data from US Surveillance, Epidemiology, End Results (SEER) Program investigate there was during 1981-1990, period after CT became extensively available, if so, rates which specific histologic subtypes have risen. Methods. Age- sex-specific, as well age-adjusted were calculated for each subtype. Regression analysis used estimate rate ratios (RR) different periods examine time trends. Results. For all subtypes, increased with age. Regarding trends, lymphomas men age groups study ratio reaching 5.6 (95% Cl : 3.7-8.3) 1989-1990 compared 1981-1982. Lymphoma women glioblastoma multiforme both sexes also appear increased, elderly. Other histologies did not show any trends age-specific analyses. Conclusion. Our histology-specific significant increase tumors 1980-1990, except men.
