摘要: Abstract Photoinduced electron transfer (PET) reactions in room temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) have been paid great interests due to their potential applications the field of solar energy conversion. In this work, we selected four commonly used coumarin dyes and studied bimolecular PET reaction between respective dye N,N-dimethylaniline (DMA) [Emim][BF4], [Bmim][BF4], [Hmim][BF4] [Dmim][BF4] by means both steady-state time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopies. We found that quenching efficiency Coumarin 152 (C152) DMA increases with increase cation's alkyl chain length RTIL efficiencies 102 (C102), 151 (C151) 153 (C153) decrease RTIL. also lifetime C152 lifetimes C102, C151 C153 maintain constant addition, static components are dominated. These results demonstrate fluorophores play important roles processes viscous media.
