摘要: Micro-porous layer (MPL) is a crucial component for an efficient water management in Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFCs). Nowadays, MPLs are obtained by depositing dispersion, commonly known as ink, containing carbon black particles and PTFE onto cloth substrate. In this work was replaced innovative fluorinated polymer order to improve hydrophobic properties of consequently the whole system. Moreover, nanotubes (CNTs) partially substituted ink formulation. The new allowed decrease considerably treatment temperature (260 °C) with respect one necessary conventional samples based on (350 °C). cells assembled sample CNTs showed better performances than those traditional CNTs-free MPLs. Durability most performant assessed. Ad-hoc Accelerated Stress Tests (ASTs) were developed; they that main degradation MPL due mechanical stresses, caused reactants flow, which leads detachment materials consequent dramatic mass transfer resistance increase.
