摘要: Cell adhesion to the extracellular matrix (ECM) plays an essential role in regulation of fundamental cellular processes, such as cell survival, proliferation and migration. Disregulation these processes is involved initiation and/or progression various diseases. Integrin, a family molecules, serves key determinant for adhesion-dependent regulation. The ability integrin receptor dependent on its conformational change that specifies activation state. We previously found peptide derived from fibronectin, termed FNIII14, suppresses ECM through inactivation β1-integrins including VLA-4 VLA-5. On other hand, another tenascin-C, TNIIIA2, was shown exhibit proadhesive effect by activating same integrins. By obtaining peptides, we are now able control state, either negatively or positively. In this chapter, show our recent attempts regarding clinical application peptides.
