摘要: Purpose We sought clues to the etiology of ovarian cancer by comparing incidence rates among Chinese, Japanese, and Filipino migrants United States their descendants with U.S.-born whites. Methods Information on age, race, birthplace was obtained for each resident Hawaii, San Francisco/Oakland, western Washington identified Surveillance, Epidemiology, End Results (SEER) registry operating in those areas incident diagnosed during period from 1973 1986. The number women-years at risk estimated a special tabulation 1980 census. Among U.S. residents aged 20-79 years, annual epithelial women Asian descent nearly same as that born Asia (respective per 100,000: 11.7 versus 12.5; 11.5 14.1; Filipino, 8.1 11.0) 10%-50% lower than rate white (15.6 100,000). For Chinese Japanese women, this overall pattern largely reflected experience 50 years older; younger were somewhat higher similar women.
