The present work was carried out assess potential of bark hepatoprotective agent. activity investigated carbon tetrachloride (CCl(4)) intoxicated Sprague-Dawley rats. alcoholic Stem Bark Extract (SBE) at different doses (100 and 200 mg/kg) were administered orally male rats weighing between 100-120 g. effect SBE on serum marker enzymes, viz., AST, ALT, ALP GGT liver protein lipids assessed. extract exhibited significant activity.
