摘要: Aphasias and other neurologically based speech language impairments are treated by means of a transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulator. Preferably an irregular pulse train is applied pseudorandom generator to the stimulator electrodes. The trapezoidal, monophasic pulses mimic typical physiological wave forms average rate in order alpha rate. A series has zero DC level which enables nerves repolarize, current source reduces effects such variables as skin resistance. base rate, width amplitude can be adjusted meet particular needs patient.
