摘要: In this retrospective study, the authors compare outcomes of two different approaches to orbital floor: classic subciliary versus transconjunctival plus lateral canthotomy (swinging eyelid). Forty-five patients who underwent surgery (47 approaches) for indications (orbital fractures, correction Grave's exophthalmos, tumours internal orbit and enophthalmos in secondary trauma) were placed groups, depending on approach. The long-term effects incisions, outcome approach complications recorded compared. minimum follow-up inclusion study was 1 year. Twenty-three orbits incision, 24 swinging eyelid. No ectropion or entropion seen any patient. For eyelid approach, included three cases (12.5%) canthal malposition; five (21.14%) lagophthalmos 10 visible scars observed. Our findings show advantages eyelid: better aesthetic results, same greater exposure floor caudal part medial walls, shorter surgical time (sutureless) a less extended scar. Although our experience is preferable surgery, some still remain.
