摘要: Abstract Stress-relaxation ageing behaviour of peak-aged aluminium alloy 6082 (AA6082-T6) has been experimentally investigated with initial loading in both elastic and plastic regions this study. The stress-relaxation tests various strain levels were carried out at 160 °C for up to 12 h room temperature tensile performed subsequently. Selected samples have examined using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) study microstructural evolution during the process. results show that total stress relaxed after test increases significantly increasing levels. contribute little effect on yield strength ageing, as softening from coarsening β ′ precipitates is balanced by hardening dislocations. mechanisms material analysed basis creep exponent. In region, a exponent 3 threshold 70.1 MPa obtained, indicating dislocation glide controlled mechanism; while decreasing proposed achieve positive
