摘要: The REDDplus mechanism currently negotiated under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) has developed rapidly but not as expected. Treating deforestation a climate mitigation issue, negotiations have raised high expectations and triggered remarkable developments in global forest sector activities all policy levels, based wide consensus among private public actors that change constitute urgent environmental problems must be addressed simultaneously. Despite stalemate of UNFCCC process, implementation readiness pilot began, with it, notion debate changed. Concerns arose regarding effectiveness integrity REDDplus, particular owing to absence clear modalities funding. Such erratic course revealed shortcomings presumably simple approach. As matured it recently shifted its focus complex reality governance developing countries.
