摘要: Concentrated binary mixtures of polymers in solution commonly exhibit immiscibility, resolving into two separate phases each which is enriched one polymer. The plant cell wall a concentrated polymer assembly, and phase separation the constituent could make an important contribution to its structural organization functional properties. However, our knowledge, there have been no published reports behavior polymers, this phenomenon not included current models. We fractionated walls purified from pericarp unripe tomatoes (Lycopersicon esculentum) by extraction with cyclohexane diamine tetraacetic acid (CDTA), Na2CO3, KOH examined mixtures. Several different combinations fractions exhibited separation. Analysis coexisting demonstrated immiscibility esterified, relatively unbranched pectic polysaccharide extracted CDTA highly branched, de-esterified present 0.5 N extract. Some evidence for extract hemicellulosic was also found. believe that likely be factor assembly polysaccharides could, example, provide basis explaining formation middle lamella.
