摘要: Endogenous Viral Elements (EVEs) are remnants of viral genomes that permanently integrated into the genome another organism. Parasitoid wasps have independently acquired nudivirus-derived EVEs in three lineages. Each parasitoid produces virions or virus-like particles (VLPs) injected hosts during parasitism to function subversion host defenses. Comparing inventory nudivirus-like genes different lineages parasitoids can provide insights importance each encoded virus VLP production and success. Comparisons revealed following conserved features: first, retention encoding a RNA polymerase infectivity factors; second, loss ancestral DNA gene; third, signatures ancestry patterns gene retention.
