摘要: We have identified several types of olfactory receptor neurons in male and female Anomala cuprea beetles. The were sensitive to sex pheromone components, flower volatiles, green leaf volatiles unknown from males. Olfactory sensilla located on three lamellae forming the antennal club. There was a clear spatial separation between some each lamella. Receptor for two components situated placodea covering specific area lamella both males females. All found these sensilla. Most other longitudinal, heterogeneous streak formed by various plant-derived compounds appeared be specialists with high sensitivity their respective key compound. most remarkable among are volatile-specific neurons, which selective, compound being at least 1000 times as effective any These volatile detectors apparently homologous recently scarab Phyllopertha diversa. Our results emphasize role single-sensillum recordings tool identification biologically active odours.
