摘要: Context: Most patients with neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction (NLUTD) require life-long care to maintain their quality of life (QoL) and maximise expectancy. Objective: To provide a summary the 2008 version European Association Urology (EAU) guidelines on NLUTD assess effectiveness currently available diagnostic tools, particularly ultrasound imaging urodynamics. Evidence acquisition: The recommendations provided in EAU are based review literature, using online searches Medline other source documents published between 2004 2007. A level evidence and/or grade recommendation have been assigned where possible. synthesis: encompasses wide spectrum pathologies, often life-long, intensive medical life-expectancy QoL. Treatment must be tailored needs individual patient and, many cases, involves multidisciplinary team experts. Timely diagnosis treatment essential if irreversible deterioration both upper tracts avoided. Therapeutic decisions made basis comprehensive assessment, including urodynamics identify type dysfunction. Advances investigative technologies facilitated noninvasive conservative management who NLUTD. Conclusions: NLUTD, which is highly specialised complex field involving urology medicine, requires up-to-date expert advice readily available. current designed fulfil this need.
