摘要: Cultural and physical landscapes can be regarded as a result of the interaction among humans, nonhumans vast array ecological factors. Nonhuman primates are our closest relatives play role in many cultural manifestations mankind. Therefore interface between humans other create complex social spaces, new landscapes. This work, based on historical, artistic, archaeozoological, anthropological biological data aims to review history interactions Barbary macaque since Antiquity. Adopting cross-disciplinary approach, it will explore macaque/human across history, with special emphasis impact influence this species has had different Mediterranean civilizations.
